Hail Mary, full of Grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Today, nine months before Christmas, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. Jesus came to save us by first dwelling among us as a baby in Mary's womb. Let us pray that we all have the love and courage that Mary did, and that we, too, can say yes to whatever God asks us to do. I'll be available again today between 12:00-2:00 to answer emailed questions. Please check in at Jupiter for grades and missing work. When you see a grade posted, please read the feedback I've given you on your Google Docs assignments. This will help you make any needed improvements on future assignments. Literature Please finish reading Farewell to Manzanar, Ch. 14-16, and answer the six study guide questions. Details and links for these are in the Monday, March 23, blog post. Scroll down for these. This is due today at 7:00 PM. Please make sure to provide quoted text evidence and to cite your evidence with page numbers. If you have already submitted your work and did not do this, go back now and put in quotes and page numbers. You don't need to share the document with me again. All changes will show up when I open the document. Writing Make sure you have watched the video on participles and participial phrases and then completed IXL GG.6. Details and links are in the Monday, March 23, blog post. This work is due today by 7:00 PM. We will continue with this sentence-composing tool after spring break, so you will need this background to help you with the exercises, quizzes, and creative writing paragraph. One of the best things you can do to keep growing in your reading and writing skills right now is to read a couple of good books just for yourself. Maybe you have a few on your shelf, or you can order a couple for your Nook or Kindle. Maybe you can order some books for curbside pickup at our Barnes and Noble. (Be sure to call the store to see if they are still doing this: 317-859-8089.) Also, don't forget that you can buy books when you go to Meijer and Kroger. It would be great to talk about these when we get back to school together. Please know that you and your families are in my prayers each day! Comments are closed.

A Classroom Prayer
Holy Spirit, Giver of all good gifts, enter into my mind and heart. Give me the gift of knowledge and the grace to use it wisely. Help me in all my endeavors. Give me perseverance and fortitude. Help my memory, that I may remember what I learn and recall it when necessary. Guide me in the classroom.
O Jesus, You who are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, let me not be deceived by false teaching. Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for me. Amen. Mary, Undoer of Knots,
Pray for Us! A Prayer to Christ, the Divine Teacher
O source of all Wisdom, Christ the Teacher,
You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Teach us to embrace the truths You have revealed to Your Church. Fill our souls with Your Grace that we may love God above all and our neighbors as ourselves. Christ Jesus, friend and Teacher most patient, bless us and teach us. O Light of the world, teach us always to follow You that we should not walk in darkness, but have forever the Light of Life! Amen. Archives
