Welcome back to class.
Please check Jupiter grades and calendar to make sure you are not missing any assignments. I am entering grades throughout each day. I will include comments on Actively Learn and on compositions submitted through Google Docs. If you are missing an assignment, need to revise a response at Actively Learn, or need a Google Forms quiz reopened--please email me. I will be available today between 12:00-2:00 to answer emailed questions. If you have not been checking in here daily, you will need to scroll down through the updates to get instructions for assignments. As always, if you make up late IXL or revise an item on Actively Learn, please email me when the work is complete. These programs do not notify me of updated work. If you see any errors in assignments or if any links do not work, please email. Thanks! Know that you and your families are in my prayers each day! Literature Continue reading Chapters 12 and 13 from our book Farewell to Manzanar. The link to the pdf and the study guide questions can be found in the March 18 update below. Your responses to the study guide questions are due tomorrow, Friday, March 20, by 7:00 PM. Writing If you did not take yesterday's practice quiz over Sentence-Composing Tools #1-7, please do so today. Once you take it, look at any items you missed and study the correct answers. Scroll down to the March 18 update for the link to the quiz. Once you have taken the practice quiz, take the Second Chance Sentence-Composing Tools #1-7 Quiz at the link below. This is due tomorrow, Friday, March 20, by 7:00 PM. Lastly, open the Google Doc with the notes on Prepositional Phrases. We began this work on March 17. Review the notes on pp. 1-3. Scroll down and complete the exercises starting on p. 4. (Remember, sometimes the page numbers are a bit different on different devices.) These are the same types of exercises we did in class together for the other tools. Do these on your own, check your answers, and then complete the Creative Writing paragraph. Put the sentences you complete for the Expanding exercise and the Creative Writing paragraph in the same Google Doc. Both are due tomorrow, Friday, March 20, by 7:00 PM. Comments are closed.

A Classroom Prayer
Holy Spirit, Giver of all good gifts, enter into my mind and heart. Give me the gift of knowledge and the grace to use it wisely. Help me in all my endeavors. Give me perseverance and fortitude. Help my memory, that I may remember what I learn and recall it when necessary. Guide me in the classroom.
O Jesus, You who are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, let me not be deceived by false teaching. Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for me. Amen. Mary, Undoer of Knots,
Pray for Us! A Prayer to Christ, the Divine Teacher
O source of all Wisdom, Christ the Teacher,
You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Teach us to embrace the truths You have revealed to Your Church. Fill our souls with Your Grace that we may love God above all and our neighbors as ourselves. Christ Jesus, friend and Teacher most patient, bless us and teach us. O Light of the world, teach us always to follow You that we should not walk in darkness, but have forever the Light of Life! Amen. Archives
